Basic rifle training is essential for individuals who are interested in shooting rifles such as the M4 or AR-15. These firearms require a certain level of skill and knowledge to handle safely and accurately. In this essay, we will discuss the importance of basic rifle training, the topics covered in such a class, and the benefits of completing this training.

Firstly, it is essential to understand the importance of basic rifle training. It is not only for those who plan to use rifles for hunting or recreational shooting, but also for individuals in law enforcement or military roles. Knowing how to handle a rifle properly can save lives in high-stress situations and ensure the safety of oneself and others. Additionally, basic rifle training can promote responsible gun ownership and prevent accidents from occurring.

So, what topics are covered in a basic rifle training class? Firstly, the classroom portion of the training will cover gun safety rules, nomenclature, and the basics of how a rifle works. This includes learning about the different parts of the rifle, how to load and unload ammunition, and proper maintenance and cleaning techniques. Participants will also learn how to properly hold and aim a rifle, as well as how to adjust sights for accuracy.

Another essential aspect of basic rifle training is learning proper shooting techniques.

This course is taught in WA only.

This course covers:

  • Cleaning & Maintenance
  • Essential gun safety rules
  • The fundamentals of pistol shooting
  • Best practices 

Class requirements:

  • Rifle
  • 200 rounds of ammunition
  • At least two magazines 
  • Cleaning kit (can be purchased on location)

Class duration is 4 hours including classroom and range time.
