The above DPM Recoil Reduction System works due to the multi spring intricate rod (3 springs) and in some cases, the system offers almost double force in the slide at the end of the full open position compared with the factory OEM spring and functions like a buffer on the slide. From this effect, the slide stops smoothly on the frame and offers less recoil.
